Every room in your home should reflect you. Your rooms should be functional enough to take on your beautifully chaotic and wonderfully messy everyday - as well as flexible enough to cater to future plans - like a family. Each month we’ll be highlighting a different room in the home and providing tips and tricks to help ensure your home is the best reflection of...you! As we fall into November, let’s extend the hospitality to your guests and create a warm, welcoming space to stay.
It’s that time of year again: where friends from near and far gather together and celebrate the holidays. Ensure your guest room is prepared to provide your guests with a happy, comfortable, and seasonal feel with these simple updates:
Decorate with the necessities & beautify with the details
Ultimately, your guests are using this space to rest and recharge from the season’s activities. Make sure the bed is comfy and cozy.
Pay attention to:
- The pillows.
- The bed sheets.
- The comforter.
On the bedside table, we recommend displaying only the small, necessary details. This not only prevents clutter, but will also make your guests feel even more welcome and at home.
- A single, helpful list of details about your home. Remember, they don’t usually live there, and details like the Wi-Fi password may slip your mind when welcoming them!
- Details to note: Wi-Fi password, where to find extra supplies and toiletries, and instructions for how to operate any household systems (alarm system, television, thermostat, etc.).
- Extra phone charger.
- DIY Air Freshener. Ensure a happy and welcoming room with a combination of our three powerhouse scents: Lavender Bare Oils, Peppermint Bare Oils, and Eucalyptus Bare Oils.
Bench / Trunk
Your guests’ secret, favorite pieces of furniture (besides the bed) will be large, convenient surfaces to place their luggage on.
- Extra bedding.
Make sure your guests have a spot to store their clothing and belongings. A closet, or even a roll-out clothes organizer, will add that perfect comforting, homey touch to their room.
