Frankincense has had its place throughout history, used in ancient times for spiritual purposes, meditation, embalming, and more. Its uses are endless. Here’s the scoop on Frankincense, the most versatile oil of them all.
Where It Comes From
The strongest and most historical evidence of the use of Frankincense dates back to the 5th Century, B.C., on the Arabian Peninsula. Frankincense essential oil is created by steam distilling the hardened resin from Boswellia sacra tree bark.
What It Does
In some cultures, this earthy, deep, and rich oil is valued more than gold because of its comforting, skin-soothing, nerve-relaxing, and spiritual properties.
It is known to help support:
- the immune system.
- spiritual connection.
- feelings of comfort, mental peace, relaxation, and satisfaction.
- the healing of wounds, acne, insect bites, and boils.
- the strengthening of hair roots.
How To Use It
When using Frankincense Bare Oils topically, always dilute 1 drop in 118 ml (4 fl oz) of liquid or carrier oil of choice. We recommend our Bare Oils Fractionated Coconut Oil for optimal results. You can also diffuse it by adding 2-4 drops per 100 ml of water inside your Bliss Diffuser.
